Library Research Guide for Getty Scholars

This guide highlights information about the Getty Library's collections and services.

Getty Digital Collections in the Library Catalog

Getty Staff have access to Digital Collections which include digitized images and audiovisual materials from Special Collections in the Library Catalog described as "Access is available only to on-site readers and Getty staff."

Here is an example from the Library Catalog:

There are two ways to access Digital Collections described as “Access is available only to on-site readers and Getty staff” in the Library Catalog.

1. Getty device use Pulse Secure (VPN) and login with your GettyOne ID. This allows access to all resources through the Library Catalog as if you are on-site.

2. Access directly at any of the public computer terminals in the Getty Library.

Regrettably, personal devices cannot use Pulse Secure (VPN). We are working on a solution to allow Scholars and Staff using personal devices to access "on-site only" Digital Collections remotely but they are always available via the computer terminals within the Library. Instructions for accessing subscription databases with a personal device are available on the Getty Article & Subscription Databases page of this guide.

Is this your first time using OneConnect or Pulse Secure (VPN)? Check out Getty Digital's working off-site guide.
