Portraits by Julius Shulman, 1950-1959The collection is comprised of the negatives for two portraits by Julius Shulman. The portrait of Richard Neutra was likely taken in 1959, as he is wearing the Bundesverdienstkreuz (German Federal Cross of Merit), which he was awarded that year, and he holds a copy of Richard Neutra: 1950-1960: buildings and projects, also published in 1959. The portrait of Aldous Huxley, seated and leaning forward with hands clasped, was made in the 1950s.
2 photographic negatives. Gift of Raymond Neutra.
