Blondell Cummings was dedicated to collaborative, interdisciplinary, community-based art and practice, and so it is our goal to offer pedagogical tools that center her methodology in that same way. Curricular resources reflect different ways that Cummings’ archives, and the exhibition that’s being built from them, might be incorporated into coursework across disciplines. We’ve developed three instructional modules that include primary source materials, suggested secondary readings, and, finally, sample activities that can be adapted for in-person or online coursework, or exhibition visits.
Each module is organized around a specific performance and its documentation, and also speaks to the methods and methodologies that informed its creation.
Modules are forthcoming.
